St. Bernardine Medical Center

Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center is a highly-regarded, 342-bed nonprofit acute-care hospital. It is among the largest hospitals in the Inland Empire, offering a full continuum of services, from family care to the most advanced heart surgery. Each year the hospital treats 70,500 patients in the Emergency Department, delivers over 2,100 babies, performs over 700 open-heart surgeries and admits more than 17,000 patients for treatment.


UCR Health

Rotation sites for: psychiatry, pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics.

Continuity family medicine practice sites at UCR Health Citrus Tower and at UCR Campus Student Health Services.

The UCR Health outpatient primary care, specialty, and psychiatry clinics are located at Citrus Tower in downtown Riverside. The facility houses UCR Health multispecialty services, which includes neurology, primary care, reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, and more. The clinic anticipates about 33,000 patient visits each year.


Riverside University Health Systems

Rotation site for obstetrics, orthopedics, and sports medicine (Moreno Valley Medical Center).

The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is the only county-owned and operated hospital, whose mission is to provide superior quality healthcare to county residents with a special focus on individuals and populations in need. In FY 2010-11, RUHS had approximately 23,500 admissions and nearly 100,000 emergency room visits, as well as approximately 129,000 outpatient clinic visits through its extensive ambulatory care program.

The 520,000-square-foot medical center is a tertiary care and level II adult and pediatric trauma center facility, licensed for a total of 439 beds. In addition to the 362 licensed beds in Moreno Valley, California, there are 77 licensed beds in a separate psychiatric inpatient treatment facility in the city of Riverside. RUHS has 12 operating rooms, a helipad, and state-of-the-art digital radiology services, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT) facilities.


VA Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Medical Center

Rotation site for dermatology and emergency medicine

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Medical Center  serves veterans and active duty service men and women alike.

This has both inpatient and outpatient services and serves nearly 100,000 veterans. Residents will be rotating through this facility for continuity clinic, ambulatory rotations, rheumatology, dermatology, nephrology, pulmonary, ID, etc.
